Custom fitting - Key Factors
Grip Size:
All hand size's vary from person to person. It's worth making sure the grips on your clubs are the correct dimensions, to ensure a snug fit. Incorrect grips will cause you to struggle to achieve a good grip and this will hamper your ability to hit solid golf shots.
Club Length:
I Although it might sound obvious people tend to come in different heights! But when it comes to golf equipment people tend to buy clubs of the same size. It's vital to have your club shaft appropriate to your height, because that's the only way you're going to be able adopt the correct posture.
Lie Angle:
This describes the angle between the sole of the club and the shaft. Get the correct lie angle and the sole of the club will be flush to the ground at the point of impact. If this angle is wrong the clubface will be inclined to twist at impact, this will cause  problems with shot direction.
Shaft Type:
The shaft transfers the energy from your swing into the back of the ball, and needs to be square at the point of impact for the optimum strike. Basically your swing speed determines the correct shaft flex. There are also other factors which need to be considered such as selecting graphite or steel shaft material.
Clubhead Design:
Clubs are not designed purely on looks. Mostly it's down to functionality. Certain designs can help in correcting problems with your shots. For instance, if you struggle to get height on your shots a cavity back iron with a low centre of gravity will help achieve the desired height.
